Thanks to GLONASS, the device also accurately determines your location in forested and urban areas.
The battery of this navigation system lasts up to 16 hours, and even up to 24 hours in battery saver mode.
The 3-inch touchscreen is easy to operate and read in the bright sun.
Without an off-road mode, you can't choose unpaved roads such as forest trails.
The navigation system doesn't have maps for countries outside Europe.

Description

With the Garmin Edge Explore 2, you can go on bike rides without getting lost and track exactly where you've been. On the large, anti-glare 3-inch screen, you can always see the route, even in bright sunshine. Thanks to GLONASS, navigating is more precise than with its predecessor, the Edge Explore 1. Your navigation continues to work well in forested areas and busy cities with large buildings. In those busy cities, the Garmin sends you along the quietest roads, so you always take the safest route. If anything happens, the incident detection automatically sends messages to preloaded emergency contacts. In addition, the Edge Explore gives suggestions for beautiful routes and you can easily find your way back home. Connect the Garmin Edge Explore to your smartphone. You can then download routes, view rides you've done on apps like Strava, and see incoming messages and calls. The battery of the Edge Explore 2 lasts 16 hours.

I had an Edge 530. Explore 2 offers everything the 530 has, without all the training features (which I don't use anyway) but with a more modern interface and a larger screen.

The device is equipped with extensive options. For the leisure cyclist, the athlete: everyone gets their money's worth. The accuracy of the positioning, even in a forest, struck me at first use. Integration with other applications - Komoot in my case - is definitely a plus. Not the cheapest on the market, but given the possibilities of the device, the purchase is still worth considering.
