Trust GXT 714W Ruya Gaming Chair White

After many years of faithful use of my previous office chair, this very comfortable-looking Ruya gaming chair came my way. And at first glance, this chair seemed to meet my requirements: comfortable sitting for a longer period of time, good adjustability and a pleasant appearance. To anticipate my conclusion, except for a few minor negatives, I am very satisfied with this nice chair.

The chair is delivered disassembled, but assembly was easy. The most important part of the chair, which I was able to test, followed. Namely how comfortable is this chair. With my average height of around 1.80, I was a perfect size for this chair. The most important elements can be adjusted, such as the armrests, the height, the backrest and the neck/back cushions. This allowed me to adjust the chair to my liking and I can say that sitting on this chair for many hours is very comfortable. The cushions are also a nice addition, but they do dent relatively a lot during a longer session. All in all, I am very satisfied.

As a full-time DevOps engineer and part-time chair critic, I have to say: the Trust GXT 714 Ruya Gaming Chair is an absolute game-changer, even for someone who doesn’t play games. As soon as I sat down in it, I knew this was the beginning of a beautiful working relationship.

The assembly was so easy that I wondered if I had accidentally used a cheat code. In no time at all, I was sitting at my desk in a princely position, as if the chair had been specially designed to support my daily tasks. The backrest provides just the right amount of support, and it feels like my spine has been given a personal wellness package.

And while I don’t have a cat, I’m sure if I did, this chair would be claimed immediately. But this throne remains 100% mine; and that’s a good thing.

At first we were very happy with the chair. Nice and sturdy chair for a nice price. And what we also like is that the seat is made of fabric and not of (imitation) leather, which is especially nice in warm weather.

Unfortunately, after a few weeks of use, the backrest was crooked and could no longer be straightened. It looks like there is a spring or something missing on that side that is holding it back/straight. And a day later the backrest moved back when you sat against it. Contacted customer service and the chair was exchanged. Hopefully we were just unlucky with this chair and the new one will meet our expectations. Just wait and see . . .
