The OnePlus 12 is a powerful, top-class smartphone that I charge very quickly. I also take beautiful photos, but the device is large and heavy.
Big and heavy
It is immediately noticeable that the OnePlus 12 is a large and fairly heavy smartphone. The first few days I had to get used to that. I find it difficult to operate the OnePlus 12 with one hand and it barely fits in my pocket. The large screen also has advantages. For example, I am comfortable watching videos.
Lightning fast charging, battery life of a day
I am impressed with the charging speed. With the included fast charger, I can charge the device from 0 to 100 percent within half an hour. I therefore never have to worry about my battery again. After a few minutes of charging I can go for a few hours. If I fully charge the battery, it can easily last a whole day. On such a day I regularly check social media, listen to a podcast on the go and play some games.
Sharp and colorful photos
On the back of the device is a large camera island with 3 different lenses. This island sticks out quite a bit without a case. With the cameras I take razor-sharp photos in different situations. For example, I notice that the cameras handle the bright backlight of the sun well. My photos are then not overexposed, so I continue to see all the colors clearly. Even in low light, the photos remain clear, sharp and colorful.
Fast and powerful device
In terms of speed, the OnePlus 12 can do exactly what you expect from a top-class smartphone. The device is lightning fast and never falters. Even with demanding photo editing apps or 3D games, the smartphone continues to run like a charm. Moreover, I notice that the device does not heat up when performing these types of heavy tasks. The device also remains cool while charging. That is important, because it means the OnePlus 12 will last for years.
Handy alert slider
There is an alert slider on the side of the OnePlus 12. With this slide I can easily put the smartphone in silent mode. Then I can easily switch it back to sound or vibration mode. This works much easier than with many other smartphones, where you have to arrange this in the menus.
