High image quality
The LG QNED86 has a QNED screen. This technology improves the color reproduction on the image, making my favorite movies look more realistic. The TV also has an intelligent AI processor, which automatically improves the resolution of standard TV programs. This means I always watch images with high brightness and a 4K resolution. The screen is sharp and detailed. I don't miss a moment of my favorite talk shows. Despite the bright lights in the test room, I find the images clear and bright, without disturbing reflections. The TV therefore fits well in rooms with a lot of natural light.
Vivid colors
Thanks to the QNED technology, the TV shows realistic colors that almost jump off the screen. I notice this immediately when I turn on a series. Clouds in the distance really seem to be coming my way. And in a close-up of a pile of leaves, every autumn colour can be seen. Normally, the contrast on a TV with edge lit local dimming is not that strong, because the LED backlight is along the screen edge and has to illuminate or dim the entire image. But I don't notice that with the QNED86. The contrast is just as good in the middle of the image as along the edges.
Modern design
The LG QNED86 has a simple, modern design. The screen edges look slim and sturdy and the material feels reliable. So I would move the TV without any worries during a move. The base of the TV is deep, so you need a large TV cabinet if you don't hang the screen on your wall.
