First impression
The Siemens dryer has a sleek design and a spacious drum. The completely flat display looks modern and has a matte finish. This prevents fingerprints. Thanks to the drum light, I can easily see my laundry even in the dark utility room. With the many drying programs, I always have a good option for my clothes.
smartFinish
Ironing isn't my favorite chore. That's why I appreciate that this dryer has two smartFinish programs. They don't wash my clothes, but they reduce wrinkles using drum movements and steam. Filling the water tank was initially a bit confusing, as the manual was a bit unclear. After some searching, I discovered that the opening is in the dryer itself and not in the condensation tank. After the program, most of the wrinkles are gone from my shirts, which saves me a lot of ironing.
VarioSpeed
A great feature is the varioSpeed shortening function. It shortens the program duration. For example, the drying time for the cotton program decreases from 4 hours and 33 minutes to 2 hours and 50 minutes. That's quite a difference. The function only works with four programs, but since I mainly use the cotton program, that's not a problem for me.
IntelligentDry
I sometimes find it difficult to choose the right drying program. That's why I think IntelligentDry is a great feature. I connect the Siemens dryer to a Siemens washing machine using the HomeConnect app. The connection didn't work the first time, but after a second try, my dryer was connected. With IntelligentDry, the dryer automatically selects the best drying program based on the washing machine's last wash cycle. This way, I always use the best settings.
Self-Cleaning Condenser
The dryer's condenser is completely self-cleaning. I hear the machine rinse several times during the drying process, which reduces maintenance and cleaning, ensuring the dryer always works smoothly. Moreover, with its B energy rating, it dries very energy-efficiently, which saves me energy costs.
