I always brew a flavorful coffee with a rich crema layer using the Nespresso Vertuo UP, thanks to the smart settings for both hot and cold coffees. The machine does make some noise while brewing, though.

Rich crema layer The first thing I notice about the Vertuo UP is the creamy, thick crema layer on every cup of coffee. Thanks to the Centrifusion brewing method, the capsule spins rapidly while hot water flows through it. This allows the coffee to mix well with the water, creating a rich crema layer on top. I notice this with both a small espresso and a large mug of coffee. The top layer remains firm and looks beautifully full and creamy.

Easily brew small, large, and iced coffees In daily use, I operate the Vertuo UP very easily. I insert a capsule, close the lid, and press the button. Thanks to capsule recognition, the machine automatically selects the correct size and water quantity. This allows me to brew a quick espresso or a large mug of coffee without thinking. It works just as easily for iced coffee. I fill a glass with ice cubes and insert a capsule. Then the machine brews the coffee over the ice. The Vertuo UP automatically adjusts the extraction. This ensures the flavor remains full as the ice cubes melt. This allows me to effortlessly make a refreshing iced coffee on warm days.

Coffee Creations mode for milk and iced coffees I find the Coffee Creations mode handy when making cappuccinos, latte macchiatos, or iced coffees. I insert a capsule, press the Coffee Creations button first, and then the regular coffee button. The machine then brews a shorter, more concentrated coffee. As a result, the coffee flavor remains good when I add milk or pour the coffee over ice. This is especially useful for me because I use the same capsule for multiple styles. With Coffee Creations, I get a stronger base for my cappuccino without having to experiment with quantities myself. This way, I don't have to constantly look for different capsules for milk drinks or iced coffees.

Adjustable volume and temperature via the app With the Nespresso Smart app, I can set the volume and temperature of my coffee precisely. For example, via my smartphone, I adjust a lungo to be slightly larger, or choose a higher temperature for a large mug in the morning. The machine saves the settings so that I get the same result immediately with the next cup.

I also use the app for maintenance and updates. The app provides notifications when it is time to descale or clean. It shows me step-by-step what I need to do. Additionally, I order new capsules via the app.

Many different flavors I also appreciate that there are many different flavors and cup sizes. This allows me to easily choose between a short, strong espresso in the morning and a large mug of mild coffee in the afternoon. The machine automatically reads the barcode on the capsule and adjusts the volume, temperature, and brewing time accordingly. I do not change any settings myself, yet I still get a different taste experience for every capsule.

This is a jewel on my kitchen counter, and I have already gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it. The capsules are a bit more expensive than the old ones, but this coffee is also tastier. The machine heats up quickly, so you have a cup of coffee fast. Almost everything is dishwasher safe, so it gets clean quickly too. But ultimately, it is about the coffee, and it is delicious.

I have been using the Vuerto Up for a few weeks now, and my experience is very positive. The machine looks sleek, takes up little space, and sits nicely on the kitchen counter.

Operation is simple, and the coffee is brewed quickly. Because I have been a fan of the taste of Nespresso coffee for years, this machine fully meets my expectations. The coffee has good taste and quality.

A minor drawback is that the machine only works with one type of capsule. Since I switched from my previous model, I can no longer use my old capsules. Also, the range of compatible capsules from other brands still seems to be limited. Nevertheless, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages for me, and I am very satisfied with this purchase.
