Shokz OpenDots Air Black

The Shokz OpenDots Air earbuds deliver full and clear sound. This allows me to enjoy music for a long time. The touch controls allow me to control the music quickly and conveniently. Unfortunately, the earbuds tend to slip down a bit after a while.

Easy connection and control I connect the earbuds to my phone easily via Bluetooth. It just took me a bit, because I didn't realize that the 3 lines on the front are a Bluetooth button. This activates the button so that it is visible on my phone in the Bluetooth list. The earbuds feature touch controls, which allow me to control my music easily. I pause the music by tapping the curve of the earbud twice. When I pinch the back part of the right earbud with my thumb and index finger, I turn the volume up. With the left earbud, I turn the volume down. In the Shokz app, I can customize which action corresponds to which movement.

Full and clear sound

The earbuds deliver full and clear sound. With pop music, the sound is balanced. This way, I hear the instruments of the backing music well balanced with the vocals. As a result, I can listen to music for a pleasantly long time. In the app, I choose the Boosted Bass Equalizer setting when I want to hear bass tones a bit more powerfully. With Dialogue Enhancement, the sound is somewhat tinny, but voices are clearly in the foreground. I like using this setting when listening to podcasts.

Soft Material The earbuds have a soft rubber layer on the inside. This feels comfortable against my ears. However, I do notice that they have slightly less grip on my ears because of this and slide down more easily. This is also because they are a bit wide for my ears. If they have slid down a bit, it does not affect how I hear the music. I just think it looks less attractive. The charging case is made of matte plastic, which I think looks a bit cheap.
