With the various attachments and intensity settings, I can easily tailor the treatment to any body part. I find the guidance in the app particularly helpful when starting IPL for the first time. However, the IPL device only works via a cord.

Easy to use This is my first experience with an IPL device. During the treatment, the light on the back indicates whether I am placing the Lumea correctly on my skin. As soon as the light shows that I am positioned correctly, I can start flashing. I repeat this step by step until I have treated my entire leg. The app helps me with the preparation beforehand. For each body part, the app calculates approximately how many flashes I need. I also receive clear instructions on how to use it. I keep track of which body parts I have treated in the app. The app also automatically sets a reminder for my next treatment. However, I do not receive live guidance in the app while flashing. So, I have to keep track myself of which part of my skin I have already treated.

Various attachments The IPL comes with various attachments. For large body parts, I use the body attachment. With this, I treat my legs and arms quickly. For my underarms and bikini line, I switch to the attachments for sensitive body parts. For my face, I use the attachment with the extra filter. The device is lightweight, and its shape allows me to easily reach various spots on my body. However, I do need to stay near a power outlet while using it, as the Lumea only works when plugged in.

Results After a few weeks of use, I see that the hair on my legs and under my armpits grows back less quickly and is thinner. As a result, I don't have to shave as often in between treatments. The results build up gradually, so I continue to perform the treatments according to the schedule. I did have to get used to the sensation of the light flashes at first. Especially in my underarms, a flash can sometimes feel a bit sensitive. Fortunately, I can choose from 5 intensity levels. If a treatment stings too much in a specific spot, I lower the intensity there by one level. After use, I store the device and the parts in the luxury storage box.
