Canon EF lenses fit on SLR cameras with a full-frame sensor, and Canon EF-S lenses on SLR cameras with an APS-C sensor. You use a Canon EF-M lens with your Canon mirrorless cameras from the EOS M series. For your Canon EOS R series mirrorless camera, use lenses with a Canon RF mount.
