When you want to store multiple types of wine in the wine fridge, you need at least 2 temperature zones since you have to store red and white wine at different temperatures. The number of zones of the wine fridge is not the same as the number of adjustable temperature zones. A wine fridge may have 4 zones of which the upper and lower zone are adjustable, and the 2 middle ones are not. In that case, the temperature of the middle zones depends on the set temperature of the lower and upper temperature zone.
