Trading in your iPhone: how does it work?
This is how you can sell your iPhone for a discount on a new model:
- Order your new iPhone online or in a Coolblue store.
- You can transfer your apps, contacts, and other information to your new iPhone. That way, you don't lose anything.
- Turn off "Find My iPhone" and remove all your accounts from your iPhone. If you don't, we can't accept your device.
- Come to the store with your old iPhone and a valid form of ID within 30 days after your order.
- Our expert checks your old iPhone and determines the trade-in value of your device.
- Do you agree with the trade-in value? We'll take your iPhone. You'll receive the trade-in value on the bank account you used to pay for your new iPhone within 7 days.

Yes, you can. You'll receive the trade-in value as CoolblueCredit. You can use this to buy something from us later. You can find the credit in your Coolblue account within 14 days. After that, the CoolblueCredit is valid for a year.
Can I trade in my iPhone when it no longer works?
We only accept your old iPhone if it turns on without being plugged into the charger.
Can I also trade in a smartphone from a different brand?
Yes, that's no problem. On our trade-in page, you can find all brands that we accept old smartphones from.
