Save time and space

A multicooker is useful if you want to save time with cooking. Simply put the ingredients in the pot and choose the right setting. After that, the multicooker does the work for you. This way, you can do your dishes or clean the counter in the meantime. Do you have a small kitchen? A multicooker is also suitable in that case. That's because you only need 1 pot, which saves space in your kitchen cabinets.

Size of your inner pan

With a multicooker, you have to check the capacity of the inner pan as well. Most multicookers have a 1.5 to 7L capacity. If you have a 2-person household, a 2.5L inner pan is large enough. Do you have a big family? Choose a multicooker with a 6L capacity or more. This way, you prevent having to cook the meal twice.

Different settings

Different preparation options

How many settings a multicooker has differs per model. Most multicookers have a standard steam function and stew function. Choose the steam function if you want to steam vegetables or rice. With the stew function, you can slowly cook ingredients like meat. Some multicookers also have a baking function that allows you to bake a cake or pie. Keep in mind that you can't prepare fries or frozen snacks in the multicooker.

Start delay and keep-warm function

With the start delay function, you can set when the multicooker should start the preparation. Simply put the ingredients in the pot and it'll automatically start at the chosen time. We don't recommend putting in raw meat or fish in it when you use this function. That's because the food may spoil in that time.

Keep Warm function

Did you cook for people, but are they running a bit late? Don't worry. With the keep-warm function, your dish stays warm for longer in the pan. Most models do this automatically when the preparation is done.
