The ability to quickly zap to a previous/next song in Spotify or iTunes that is running in the background is also very comfortable. The option to illuminate the keyboard is not an unnecessary luxury.
The great asset of this laptop is the touchscreen and converting it into a tablet. The hinges are very solid, the device is light enough to lie comfortably in the hand. The glossy screen does leave fingerprints behind easily, which is a shame.
This laptop has one USB port. That is too little in some circumstances. On the other hand, there are two Thunderbolt connections; provided you use an adapter, you can connect any USB device to it.
