We are now about 1,000 cups of coffee further and I thought it was time to leave a short review.

The device is very user-friendly and it is very nice that you can create preferred profiles. I like to drink my black coffee strong, hot and a medium amount of water. My partner drinks Latte macchiato with a lot of milk and less strong. By creating those preferences as a profile, you can make your desired coffee at a later time with 2 clicks on the button. The amount of choices in coffee is very extensive, so extensive that we have not even tried all types of coffee.

The menu is easy to operate and easy to understand for young and old.

Maintenance: when installing the device, you can set the water hardness in your region. With us that is quite hard (11.x dH) and that means that we have to descale quite often. You will receive a message on the screen that you must descale within x amount of cups of coffee. Once you have crossed that limit, you can no longer remove that message, unless you descale. Obviously a good stick behind the door, but sometimes that message is quite annoying. It is very nice that the device can clean itself well and it is also easy to clean the device properly from the inside.

Water tank / Drip tray: The water tank can sometimes feel a bit on the small side because the device rinses when it switches off automatically and then uses a relatively large amount of water. Obviously not a big deal, but relevant to mention. In addition, the sensor of the drip tray sometimes seems out of whack. After emptying the container, the message "Empty drip tray" occasionally does not go away.

All in all, we are very satisfied with the Siemens EQ.6 Plus S800, it felt like a reasonable investment at the time, but we do not regret it to this day. The coffee tastes great!

What made us choose this slightly more expensive Siemens EQ6. firstly the higher pump pressure and the better piping, also this machine can easily make 2 cappuccinos at the same time and this is as easy as there are friends who also want to try the machine. The screen is good and clear, the operation is easy and a child can do the laundry. also cleaning the machine is not much work and you can notice that the designers have taken this into account, you notice this because there are no sharp or protruding parts and you can easily imitate the drip tray with a cloth without having to go between ridges mess around. the brewing unit is also easy to clean, rinse well and drain again. the cleaning programs are also easy to rinse the milk residues in the system. I think after a number of fully automatic machines that we already have some experience with these types of machines and I really think it is a top machine, quite a lot of money for a coffee machine but this one is definitely worth it.
