At home I have a large refrigerator for all my weekly groceries, such as yogurt, cheese and cartons of milk. I miss a freezer for pizzas, oven fries or frozen vegetables. I therefore test this table model and put the freezer in the garage. What I find useful is that I have enough space for my weekend groceries, such as snacks and ice cream. I also save quite a bit of energy thanks to energy class C. However, the freezer does make more noise. That doesn't matter to me, because it's in the garage.
First impression
What I like is that the freezer is black. This is not as standard as most models which are often white. The color matches well with the rest of my garage. When I open the freezer, I see 3 transparent drawers. It's nice that this allows me to see exactly what is in stock. This way I don't open every drawer to see what's inside.
Spacious enough for pizzas
The plastic freezer compartments differ in size. In the top drawer I put a few boxes of ice cream. The middle drawer is spacious enough for 4 pizza boxes on top of each other. At the very bottom I store my pollock fillet and frozen beans. I also put a bag of bitterballen in the back. Handy when friends come over during the European Football Championship. I'm ready for the weekend.
Economical energy class
On the energy label I see that the freezer has energy class C. This is very economical, which keeps my energy bill low.
Defrost by hand
The freezer does not have No Frost, so I defrost the drawers by hand up to 6 times a year. If I don't do this, my groceries will get iced up faster. The freezer then uses more energy, which of course I don't want. I therefore defrost the drawers every 2 months and keep track of this.
Can go in the garage
Not all freezers are allowed in the shed or garage, but this model is. The table model is suitable for a minimum ambient temperature of minus 15 degrees Celsius. For me it is convenient that the freezer can be left in the garage all year round, even in winter. This way I save space in the kitchen and I always have a portion of bitterballen in stock.
