I tested the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra for a week and I was particularly struck by the telephoto lens and the large, sharp screen. The included S Pen stylus and Galaxy AI are nice extras that make this device even easier to use.
Razor-sharp photos, even when I zoom in
With all the cameras on the S25 Ultra, I take razor-sharp photos and videos. The telephoto lenses in particular excel. With these, I zoom in 3 and 5 times without my photos becoming less sharp. Even when I zoom in 10 times, I see almost no loss of quality. Even in low light, I see a lot of details and colors in my photos.
Blazing-fast smartphone
With the Samsung S25 Ultra, I can use any app without any problems. Even heavy apps start up quickly. For example, I edit photos with Photoshop or occasionally play a 3D game, such as EA FC. I even use multiple apps at the same time. For example, I watch a cooking video on YouTube while making a shopping list in my notes.
Sharp and colorful screen
I am very impressed with the screen of the S25 Ultra. The screen is large, sharp and colorful. I think moving images, such as scrolling or animations, look very smooth. I think the 6.9 inch screen is very large. This is especially nice when I play a game or watch series on Netflix. I do notice that it is quite difficult to operate the screen with one hand.
Handy S Pen stylus
I notice that I use the included S Pen stylus more often than I expected. For example, it is very useful for editing photos or videos. I store the S Pen in the housing of the S25 Ultra. I easily click the stylus out, so that I always have it quickly at hand.
Battery life and charging
With the battery of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, I always make it to the end of the day. On a normal day I mainly listen to music on Spotify, watch videos on YouTube and send messages on WhatsApp. Charging takes a bit longer than many other smartphones in this price range. Within 30 minutes the battery is about 70 percent full.
