Samsung 9100 Pro 1TB PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSD

The Samsung 9100 PRO is a very fast internal SSD for heavy tasks. I easily install the SSD in the M.2 slot of my motherboard. With this SSD, I boot up my PC and programs quickly. I install many heavy programs on the SSD and transfer many large files at once for the test.

Extremely high speed in practice The SSD achieves a read speed of up to approximately 12,000 megabytes per second and a write speed of 10,000 megabytes per second. I transfer large 100 GB games from my hard drive to the SSD in less than half a minute. I see the speed of the SSD especially when transferring heavy media files. I take a folder of about 200 gigabytes of unedited RAW photo files and transfer them surprisingly quickly.

Good cooling When I use the SSD during work, it stays nice and cool. In the Samsung Magician Software, I see that it stays between 35 and 45 degrees Celsius by default. During the transfer, I see higher temperatures, up to about 70 degrees Celsius. At these high read and write speeds, this is cooler than with other SSDs. As a result, the SSD continues to operate stably. However, I would prefer to use a heatsink to prevent slowdowns after a while.

PCIe 5.0 support I first use the SSD in a PCIe 5.0 slot. Here, I see that the SSD achieves the highest speeds and operates most smoothly. Because I do not have the newest motherboard, I have to share the PCIe 5.0 slots with the graphics card. As a result, my graphics card runs slower. This is not due to the SSD, but rather to the distribution of the PCIe 5.0 slots. Newer motherboards with more PCIe 5.0 slots suffer less from this.

Bought to expand PS5 memory. Works absolutely great out of the box!
