I've only had this dryer for a few weeks, so I haven't had time to test everything yet. One thing I immediately notice: the noise is much quieter than my previous AEG dryer – a huge difference, the silence is pleasant.
I also find the window in the door handy: it lets you see immediately if there's still laundry in it. Because the lint filter is integrated at the bottom, no more dust or lint gets stuck around the door. Everything ends up neatly in the filter, a big difference from my previous appliance.
They say that because of the alternating spin direction, you no longer need fabric softener. That's true: the laundry comes out really soft.
So far, I've only used two programs:
Cotton/Cupboard Dry: the laundry was completely dry, but I noticed that the elasticity of my underwear suffered a bit.
Synthetic: the elasticity remained good, but thick cotton still came out damp. No problem for me, because I simply hung the items on the clothesline and they dried quickly.
I still need to test the other programs to see which one delivers the best results for truly dry laundry.
For my needs, this is a good solution: I try to use the dryer as little as possible, but during the fall and winter months, it's nice not to be left with excessively wet laundry.

Replaces an appliance that audibly resisted drying in its final stages. This one simply does what it was designed for: drying, and in such a way that we don't hear it. I'm quite surprised by the end result, though, as it's fluffier and less wrinkled. The drum now has paddles, which stir the laundry more during the cycle, making towels fluffier after drying. The odd thing is that this does push the dryer sheets towards the lint filter.
We were used to a final chime when the laundry is done, but now there's a subtle sound that you sometimes don't hear. Not a big deal.

Our digital expert will help you, but it can sometimes make mistakes, like humans do.
According to our dryer expert
Control it remotely: with the AEG app, you can control your dryer whenever and wherever you want from your phone.
Dry thick fabrics evenly: your clothes stay soft for longer, and thicker fabrics dry evenly with the AbsoluteCare Plus 3D scan.
B energy label: you save an average of € 280 on energy costs over 10 years compared to the E energy label.
No SmartDry: without SmartDry, you can't choose between the 2 buttons Time Save and Energy Save for a number of programs.
