LG Mini-LED 55 inches QNED85 (2026)

What immediately struck me about this LG is its beautiful, slim design. The 55-inch is an ideal size for me, and because the TV is so thin, it looks neat and modern. The sound also pleasantly surprised me: it sounds clear and powerful, and you don't even need to turn the volume up high to hear everything clearly.

Regarding the picture, it took a bit of searching at first to find the right settings. Fortunately, I was able to adjust this well by using the personal picture settings. After some experimentation, the picture is now exactly how I like it.

I found the stand a bit more difficult. It is very heavy, and mounting it was a bit of a puzzle. If you mount the television on the wall, this naturally doesn't matter. Overall, I am certainly satisfied with this television.

Nice TV with a beautiful and sharp picture. Installation was easy and the apps were set up quickly too. Sometimes it responds a bit slowly, but everything works fine with the remote control. The 55-inch took some getting used to at first, but now I am very happy with the size.

My living room has large windows, and with many TVs that is a nightmare: during the day, you are mostly looking at your own reflection. I don't have that problem with this LG. The peak brightness is high enough to watch it comfortably even in bright daylight, and the screen reflects significantly less than my previous model.

What also strikes me is how vibrant the colors are. A nature documentary looks truly impressive. In the evening with the lights off, you notice that the black is just slightly grayer than on an OLED, but the local dimming handles that well, and in practice, it doesn't bother me.

Downside: the sound. Thin and lacking substance. So, expect to want a soundbar.
