I had hoped that the first laptop delivered was an exception with regard to disappointing build quality. However, the chassis of the second also creaks at the bottom (at the height of the screen) and when gripping. Also, the first laptop delivered had a clattering touchpad and the second didn't, so it's a matter of being 'lucky' which one you get. As for the creaking, the Ideapad 5 PRO lacks a screw in the middle (below the screen) that allows the case to buckle and creak, so it always has. Too bad, because screen quality is great, screen size is perfect, AMD 5600u speed is very good and port selection is also fine. Although it is a pity that they are all 5Gbs ports and not 10Gbs.
If the above negatives do not weigh heavily for you, then this is an excellent laptop for a very reasonable price.
