I've always chosen Miele for my home appliances. But when it comes to this dryer, I regret buying it. Drying itself takes longer (due to heat pump technology), which I don't mind in itself. But what really bothers me is that my laundry wears out faster: I notice this on towels, sheets, etc., and I remove a very thick layer of lint from the filters. This wasn't the case with my previous Miele (condenser dryer).
The condenser, which isn't self-cleaning, requires frequent maintenance: it has to be manually fluffed. This happens every three to four weeks. For an appliance in this price range, I find it hard to understand why this isn't done automatically.
I'm specifically dissatisfied with the drying of bedding: If you want to dry the duvet cover, fitted sheet, and pillowcases for a double bed at once, it takes a very long time to dry them. It's better to do it twice. A duvet cover curls up into a ball two to three times during drying, preventing it from drying properly. You'll need to pause the dryer to loosen the ball. Fitted sheets also coil into a spiral, preventing them from drying properly.
Smaller items do dry well.
