With the Samsung Mini-LED M83H, you bring home a neat TV. I find the full array mini-LED screen bright enough for most living rooms and a clear improvement compared to the M73H, but the TV falls slightly short in bright daylight. The television has a refresh rate of 100 hertz, which increases to 144 hertz with VRR. I am also a fan of the simple design. I can start watching a movie or series within a few minutes.

Full array mini-LED screen The M83H features a beautiful mini-LED screen with full array local dimming. Behind the screen are hundreds of small LED lights that illuminate the pixels in the image. This allows me to watch images rich in color and contrast. The LED lights are distributed across the entire screen, ensuring that every part of the image can have the same high contrast. I consider this a nice addition and a logical improvement compared to the M83H's predecessor from 2025. I see a clearer distinction between dark and light parts of the image, and at the same time, bright light sources are beautifully rendered in dark scenes. The television is quite a bit brighter than the Samsung M73H, but still not bright enough for brightly lit living rooms. I actually have to turn up the TV's brightness in bright daylight. If you don't mind closing your curtains occasionally, this TV is highly recommended. The screen is so colorful that I don't notice the lack of quantum dots, and I hardly ever tweak the settings for good image quality.

100Hz screen with 144Hz for gaming This TV has a 100Hz refresh rate, which ensures fast actions and other movements appear smooth. I find this particularly nice when watching a sports match or playing a game. For most games, the standard 100Hz refresh rate is more than enough, and that will certainly remain the case for years to come. This applies, for example, to role-playing or action games, where the game console often displays only 60 frames per second. Do you enjoy playing online games on your PlayStation 5 or PC, and can your game console handle it? Then you will see even more realistic movements, and your TV will display up to 144 frames per second. This keeps you one step ahead of your online opponents.

Simple design I am a fan of the simple design of this television. The TV has two feet that click into place at the bottom of the TV, without screws. I have no doubt that the television stands firmly enough, and I can start watching TV within a few minutes. The TV itself is quite thin and also has a nice appearance from the back. In the middle, I find the 3 HDMI connections, which is enough for most households. Two of the three HDMI connections are located directly on the back panel, which I find a bit inconvenient. If you want to mount the TV as flush as possible against your wall, I recommend HDMI cables with 90-degree adapters.

Very good TV for that price and very good for gaming.
