A built-in ceramic cooktop has electric heating elements under the glass plate. The advantage of a built-in ceramic cooktop, is that there's no open fire. On the other hand, the surface can become a lot warmer than with induction. If you often use a roasting pan or fish pan, choose a built-in ceramic cooktop with an oblong cooking zone.
