This Miele dryer is a sturdy and very economical dryer with an extra fast drying time. With a filling weight of 8 kilograms, both large and small loads fit in the drum. Sensors automatically adjust the drying time to the amount of laundry. With energy class A+++, I also save on my energy consumption. This makes this dryer certainly suitable for households that sometimes dry larger loads of laundry and are looking for an appliance that will last for years.
First impression
When I put my laundry in the drum, I immediately notice that this is a very sturdy appliance. The drum door feels very solid and the screen is brightly lit. I switch on the dryer by selecting a program with the rotary knob. The screen switches very quickly, so I can immediately see how long the programs take. As standard, I choose the eco program, which dries my laundry in 170 minutes.
Smart and easy with Wash2Dry
Connecting the dryer to my Miele washing machine was easy via the app. As soon as the washing machine is finished, the dryer knows exactly which drying program to use. This saves time and prevents me from accidentally selecting the wrong setting. I find this particularly useful for delicate fabrics that would otherwise be dried at too high a temperature.
Fast and economical drying with EcoSpeed
What really surprised me is how quickly this dryer works without using any extra power. With my previous heat pump dryer, it sometimes took three hours to dry a full drum, but with EcoSpeed, my laundry is done much faster. This is a big plus, especially for large loads, such as bedding. This allows me to do multiple washes in one day, and I can use up all my laundry baskets within a day.
Extra fresh laundry
A special feature of this dryer is that it has a recess in the door for a fragrance bottle. This FragranceDos fragrance bottle, which I simply click into the dryer, gives my laundry a subtle, fresh scent. I notice that towels and bedding in particular smell wonderfully fresh when I take them out of the drum. I can do about 50 drying cycles with one fragrance bottle.
Not the quietest dryer
With 66 decibels, I can hear this dryer running softly. My home office is right in front of the dryer. This is not such a problem on the weekend, but when I work from home or watch TV in the evening, I do hear the noise. I notice that I only turn on the dryer when I have no more online meetings that day.
